The Great Bloguin Baseball Debate: Should Records Eclipsed During the Steroids Era Have Asterisks  E-mail

Hey guys and gals!

So one of the things I enjoy the most about being part of the Bloguin Network (having joined in December), is access to a database of over 100 great sites on anything you could ever want in sports. There are baseball blogs, hockey blogs, college sports, MMA, really anything. Some of my personal favorites include SECRivals.com (SEC Sports), BlatantHomerism.com (Oklahoma and the Big XII), and FavreDollarFootlongs, where Gene Zarnick writes with the sharp wit that I hope to bring to my writing as well. Hell, the name of his website alone is more clever than anything I've ever come up with.

Anyway, being part of the network has many perks, beyond just having lots of good reading material while on the toilet. One of those perks is the opportunity to occasionally work with other sites, and collaborate with some of the other great writers on the network, which is what I did this weekend...

With baseball season fast approaching, Around The Horn Baseball has been running a series of Major League Baseball themed debates, with many of the writers from around our network, in a series they are calling the "Great Bloguin Baseball Debate (you can see the badge directly to your right. Or left, if your looking at your screen off a mirror reflection).

Just yesterday, I was asked to weigh in, with my thoughts on the subject of "Whether or Not Records Eclipsed During the Steroids Era Should Have Asterisks." My debate went well with Rex Jaybels of i94sports.com and can be read here.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that this will be my last post of the week, as I'm taking a mini-vacation. Although I'm not actually going anywhere, I haven't really taken more than a day off since Labor Day, so figured it was time. It'll be nice to just unwind for a few days, catch up on some things, and maybe even sip on a few fruity tropical drinks with umbrellas in them. Even if I'm not in a tropical climate.

With that, enjoy the rest of this week, and be sure to check back Monday, as I'll be ready to go, with my thoughts on everything that has happened between now and then.

(And for those of you who can't wait until Monday for my thoughts on all things sports (and really, who could blame you?) make sure to follow me on Twitter @Aaron_Torres (And if you don't have a Twitter account start one. Where else can you get up to the second updates on B-list celebrities, like Shaq, Kourtney Kardashian and Me? No where I say.)

Take care.

Aaron
